CAN I USE LIVE MINNOWS AS BAIT?

No, live minnows are not permitted as bait during the event. However, insects such as nightcrawlers, maggots can be used. Dead minnows may also be used but must be presented at check-in the morning of the event.

are skidoos or atv’s allowed during the event?

The assistance of motorized vehicles are not permitted to be used during the event. This allows for a level playing field for all participants.

ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS TO PARTICIPATE?

We have to separate categories to choose from. The Regular Competition for anglers aged 14 years or older and the Youth Division for young anglers aged 13 years and younger.

DO I NEED A FISHING LICENSE TO PARTICIPATE?

No. Since Indian Lake is considered tidal water, a provincial fishing license is not required.

WILL I RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL UPON REGISTERING?

IS THE POST EVENT AWARDS CEREMONY MANDATORY TO ATTEND?

Although it is not mandatory to attend the post event awards ceremony, only registered anglers who will be present at the meeting can claim any draw prizes.

CAN I REGISTER ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT?

NO, the cut-off for registration is on Sunday, Feb. 15th. No registrations will be accepted after this date.
